Terms & Conditions
Clinical Services – Mate Masie Healing
By accessing, scheduling, or receiving clinical mental health services from Mate Masie Healing (“Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
Mate Masie Healing provides licensed mental health counseling services. These services are intended to support mental and emotional well-being and do not replace medical care. Clients are encouraged to consult appropriate medical professionals as needed.
2. Eligibility
Clinical services are available only to individuals who meet eligibility requirements under state law and professional licensing regulations. Services are provided solely to the individual client and may not be transferred or shared.
3. Clinical–Holistic Separation Policy
Clients receiving clinical services are strictly prohibited from participating in any holistic services, retreats, workshops, or wellness experiences offered by Mate Masie Healing.
If a clinical client registers for or attempts to access holistic services, the registration will be canceled immediately, and no services will be provided.
This policy is enforced to maintain ethical boundaries, avoid dual relationships, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.
4. Appointments and Attendance
Clients are responsible for attending scheduled appointments on time. Missed or late-canceled appointments may be subject to fees as outlined in the practice’s cancellation policy.
5. Fees and Payment
Clients are responsible for all fees associated with services. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Insurance billing, if applicable, is subject to policy coverage and verification.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy
Mate Masie Healing complies with all applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA. Client information is kept confidential and disclosed only as permitted or required by law or as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
7. Electronic Communication and Telehealth
By participating in telehealth or electronic communication, clients acknowledge the potential risks to privacy and consent to the use of electronic platforms for service delivery.
8. Crisis and Emergency Services
Mate Masie Healing does not provide emergency or crisis services. In the event of a mental health emergency, clients should contact 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact a local crisis hotline.
9. Professional Boundaries
Clients agree to maintain professional boundaries with the clinician. Dual relationships, including social, financial, or personal relationships, are not permitted.
10. Termination of Services
Mate Masie Healing reserves the right to terminate services if:
The client is not benefiting from services
Payment obligations are not met
Professional boundaries are violated
The client attempts to access prohibited holistic services
Continued treatment is no longer clinically appropriate
Clients may terminate services at any time with written notice.
11. No Guarantees
Mate Masie Healing does not guarantee specific outcomes or results from therapy. Progress varies based on individual circumstances.
12. Intellectual Property
All materials provided during therapy, including handouts, worksheets, and content, are the intellectual property of Mate Masie Healing and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mate Masie Healing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in services.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
15. Acknowledgment
By scheduling or receiving services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
